Reading blogs is one of those things that I’m trying to make a daily habit. It is a great way to stay updated about the tech news, and get new ideas to experiment with.
I’m a React Native developer, so I’m always looking for blogs that are related to React Native, and I thought I would share some of my favorite blogs that I enjoy reading.
I gravitate towards blogs explaining how React & React Native work under the hood, or that suggest solution to a production level issue, but I’m sure you will find something that you like in this list.
Developer way
Let’s start by my current favorite, technically this is not a React Native blog, the author focuses more on React, however understanding how React works is significant when working with React Native.
If you are curious about how things work under the hood, this is the blog for you. It has a lot of great in depth articles that explain concepts like reconciliation, rerendering, hooks… I can’t recommend it enough.
Callstack Blog
This is one those of obvious ones, if you have been working with React Native for a while now, you probably heard of Callstack. They are famous for their open source contributions to the React Native ecosystem.
What makes the Callstack blog special is due to the nature of the applications they work on, they encountered some interesting challenges, and they have a many articles on how they overcome them.
They also have a Youtube channel with a lot of great content.
Bam Blog
Bam is a French company that specializes in mobile and web development. As a result of their extensive experience and proficiency in React Native, the articles published by Bam serve as a valuable resource, providing readers with valuable insights into their own unique encounters, learnings, and obstacles encountered while utilizing React Native in their various projects.
They also have what they call Tech Radar, which is a list of technologies that they use in their projects, and they update it every year. It’s a nice way to stay updated about the new technologies that are coming out.
Red Shift
Red Shift is a blog by Infinite Red, a mobile app and web development company. Their blog is packed with tons of fantastic articles that dive deep into the world of React Native. It’s like a goldmine of valuable insights and tips for developers and anyone interested in this popular framework.
They also host the podcast React Native Radio that I like to listen to.
Elazizi
I’m definitely not including this blog because the owner is my friend and colleague, but because it’s a great blog with great content. When I first started learning React Native, I found myself reading a lot of his articles, and apparently I’m not the only one, as his blog had over 300k reads and have been featured on Dev’s top 7, Medium top 20 recommended stories.
Software Mansion Blog
Software Mansion is a Polish company and an important part of the React Native community. They have contributed to a lot of famous React Native open source projects like Expo and React Native Reanimated.
Their blog gives a lot of insights about the building of some of these open source projects, and the latest news about them.
Mindhunter
Last but not least, my own blog. This is a new blog that I started recently, I have some articles about React Native, and I’m planning to write more articles in the future. I’m still learning, and I’m trying to improve my writing skills, so I would love to hear your feedback about my articles.
